HaCon - the timetable company

Traffic, transport and logistics are the core topics that HaCon has concentrated on since it was formed in 1984. A motivated team of by now more than 145 experienced employees is
specialised in the fields of computer sciences and transport planning and has made HaCon to a leading company for planning, dispatching and information systems and consulting services in Europe.

HaCon has become widely known for its timetable information system HAFAS that Deutsche Bahn has been using since 1989. Today, numerous railway companies, transport companies and associations (of transport companies) rely on the timetable information system HAFAS. HaCon develops solutions not only for clients in Germany, but also for clients in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Italy, Poland, Ireland, Great Britain, the United States of America and in many other countries.

To this day, HAFAS is deployed in about 20 countries, being with more than 100 installations worldwide one of the leading travel information systems. It manages more than 500,000 stops and three million journeys in one system as well as target and actual data from different data sources. Each day, HAFAS calculates more than 60 million connections. As a universal system HAFAS is used also for air and freight transport.

Also, the Train Planning System TPS for timetable construction and network capacity management convinces more and more clients on Europe's railway market.
