HAFAS-Intermodal ... From door to door

By combining various route planners and the
HAFAS-Searchcontroller, we can provide door-to-door
information for the entire travel route. Whether it involves footways, taxis,
or public tranportation, HAFAS always identifies the
optimal routes.
The communication between HAFAS and a cartographic viewer enables users to highlight departure, destination, and via-stations on a map displayed on the screen. If specific locations are highlighted on the map, the nearest train stations or bus stops can be identified automatically for these locations. The fastest and most convenient connections are thus identified and displayed automatically for up to six departure and destination stations and stops. An internet version including special components (taxi and footway) is also available. |

| In combination with the HAFAS-Flightplanner, future air connections can be integrated into the intermodal information. |

The combination of HAFAS and multimedia systems enables users to find timetable information in relation to a specific event, e.g. a concert, a theater play, or a trade fair, by clicking a hyperlink to the timetable information system. This opens up a number of opportunities for linking HAFAS with advanced GIS solutions. |
