With the HAFAS Information Manager you can create and edit
as well as integrate up-to-date information in a journey planner. The various display formats
(route planner, arrival/departure board, journey view, line search) are supplied
with the latest information and can be accessed via multiple channels (e.g. Web, WAP,
imode, XHTML, PDA, J2ME-Mobile, ...). Now your customers will always receive the most current information, whether at home or on the road. Active push services via SMS, MMS or email are also available. |

The HAFAS Information Manager (HIM) enables the
creation of messages and information relating to timetable data using a web based tool similar
to that of a Content Management System. The messages will be displayed in the timetable information
system only when they fit the results of the connection query. In this way, up-to-date information can be
made available precisely to the customers who are affected.
The system consists of the actual HAFAS Information Manager
for creation of messages, as well as a matching module, which analyses the messages and associates them with
the affected travel information or views.
The system therefore covers the gap between real-time information (usually up-to-date a maximum of one hour before departure) and the actual schedule (usually updated daily or weekly). The creation of messages is intuitively easy: the administrator uses an expanded version of the travel planner and has the possibility to edit every object (stop, journey, section) by creating messages for them. The following two screenshot segments display the entry point for HIM from a connection search and a station board. A click on the Edit symbol enables the creation of messages.
