Table planner

List of trains
Books and route planner could be created with the program system HAFAS-Print "Table planner". The "Table planner" is a database to govern basic data (such as stop-sequences), filter for choosing routes (category, lines), and specific layouts (forms, sizes).
To generate books/route planner with the "Table planner", trains and journeys have to be assigned to any desired railway station sequence from the HAFAS-Timetable data. The "Table planner" provides various options to select read-in routes. With the assistance of several editing functions, tables can be completed with further information (such as footnotes, pictograms, texts) and edited comfortablly. At last, timetable data are combined with layout information and put out by the DTP software "FrameMaker".

Furthermore the "Table planner" offers the functionality to create automatically railway station lists, in which stops of an arbitrary table selection are put into a list layout.

The "Table planner" is available in two versions. Since 1997 there is a version in use at the Deutsche Bahn AG and their regional bus companies that is optimized for their requirements. Alternatively, there is the "Table planner local traffic" for demands in local traffic companies. The interconnecting transport system of Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) has been using this version since 1998 for the production of its extensive print media.

For the presentation of train and wagon routes the software HAFAS-Print "List of trains" was developed. Since 1998 the program has been used at the DB Reise&Touristik AG. It doesn't work on the base of the HAFAS-Timetable data but an IMS-Database.
