HAFAS-Print ... City to City information

The software program HAFAS-Print "Relation planner" was developed to generate connection tables such as city connections. The database manages booklets with appending relations and also basic data for searching connections (like categories, via-stations, direct connections), and evaluation parameters for the connections (for example frequency, travel time, change of trains). The connections are selected automatically and can be edited manually. Then, the software can create the layout of the table as chosen by the customer. The "Relation planner" is in use at regional bus companies. The Netherlands Railways use the "Relation planner" for the creation of the European city-connection booklet "Eurail-Timetable". In a special procedure approx. 170 city-connection booklets are being produced for the DB Reise&Touristik AG. For this purpose, several million connections are calculated, evaluated and released within a few hours. That is possible only with the extremely efficient HAFAS-algorithm.
