Expo of Ideas 2009: HaCon supports participatory exhibit about future workplaces
[Hannover, August 2009]
After its great success in 2007, the Expo of Ideas starts for the second time on the fairground
of Hanover from September 5th to 13th. More than 200,000 visitors are expected to see the exposition
and to participate in the programme. The aim is to provide students with orientation and to generate
new ideas for technical and scientific vocations
Wissenschaftsladen Hannover presents its activity platform "Green Cities? Time Travel 2030" which is sponsored, among others, by HaCon. The exposition and activities focus on working environments, technical developments and scientific progress in the forthcoming 20 years.
Young people are encouraged to deal with their own (career) future, while companies are incited to take the needs of future generations of employees into account - in terms of working environment and product development.
Wissenschaftsladen has planned the participatory exhibit "Living and Working in the Future" in cooperation with Freizeitheim Vahrenwald and Creative-Atelier art-lab 4. An unusual place to learn is to be realised, including an interactive television studio: Young visitors come to the studio and talk to junior moderators of the future. The results will then be presented as video podcasts on the internet.
