Press release: Stockholm decides in favour of HaCon's timetable information system HAFAS
[Hannover/Stockholm, 17 August 2005]
After installations in Denmark and Norway HAFAS will now be used in a further Scandinavian country.
Now the passengers of the local public transport in Stockholm will also be informed by the
timetable information system HAFAS.
Stockholm Transport (SL) as a further transportation company has decided in favour of HAFAS,
the timetable information system from HaCon.
Following the now completed implementation, the version will be expanded in the coming months into a real time travel planner for the next generation. In an Europe-wide tender HaCon was successful against the competing companies in a three-month selection procedure.
Sweden is the 16th European country in which the timetable information system HAFAS is used. Further customers are in North America and Japan. After orders from Denmark, Norway and now Sweden, HAFAS is becoming more and more accepted in Scandinavia.
