HAFAS User Conference 2009 closes with record attendance

The 11th HAFAS User Conference 2009 on March 31st and April 1st has drawn customers from more than 160
countries to Hanover. Participants from 80 traffic companies throughout Europe were curious to get to
know the numerous innovations concerning the widespread timetable information system.
The HaCon-Team introduced for example web based services, tools to generate print timetables on demand or the latest mobile solutions and mobile ticketing options. HAFAS2go, the timetable information system for mobile phones, is about to be realised for the iPhone and for android, the operating system from Google for mobile phones.
HAFAS users, such as German Railways (DB), Swiss Railways (SBB) and Austrian Railways (ÖBB) as well as public transport systems in the Region of Rhine-Main (RMV) and Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) explained among many others the characteristics of their implementation of HAFAS.
