transport logistic 2009: international audience focuses on TPS
[Hannover, Mai 2009]
HaCon, as a partner of Logistic Network Consultants GmbH (LNC) from Hanover, was among the 1.600
exhibitors at the transport logistic in Munich. At Europe's largest logistics fair from May 12th
to 15th HaCon has presented its train planning system TPS and the results of the latest projects
from the Transport Consulting department.
With TPS, HaCon has launched an innovative train planning and timetable management system to the market. The software creates schedules, reviews and evaluates them, always taking into account the special requirements of the path management in Europe. One of the special feature is, for example, the rolling plan. Regardless of the timetables that are planned for just one period, TPS is capable of planning the current and forthcoming periods in one plan. This accelerates the planning process and reduces the programming effort - time and costs are considerably reduced.
As a coordinator of EU projects, the HaCon Consulting department is already established as a fixed size. In the context of this exhibition, HaCon showed the successful implementation of the EU-CREAM project in cooperation with its partner KombiConsult.
The aim of the project is to link traffic carriers in the transport corridor of Benelux - Turkey/Greece, to improve processes and provide traffic carriers with new concepts that make them more competitive. "We use in such projects the far-reaching practical experience of all project partners and the extensive expertise of our consulting division," says Lars Deiterding, project coordinator at HaCon. "The transfer of proven solutions, combined with innovative new developments lead to significant improvements and interesting customer-oriented transportation solutions."
