First TPS User Conference 2009 attracts international participants to Hanover

[Hannover, November 2009]

For two days, customers and suppliers exchanged experiences around the Train Planning System TPS developed by HaCon. With the innovative system for capacity management, timetables can be created, reviewed and evaluated, always taking into account the special requirements of the path management process in Europe.

Nearly 20 representatives of European railway companies and network operators met at the Novotel Hotel in Hanover on November 17th and 18th to discuss the implementation of the Train Planning System TPS today and in the future. The experiences of the Danish State Railways DSB were in the centre of attention. They have already been working successfully with TPS for seven years. The Réseau Ferré de France (RFF), since 1997 the state-owned operator of the French rail network, reported on the role of TPS in the company, while SNCF gave an insight into the current test phase of the system.

HaCon also presented the innovations of the train planning and network capacity management system. These presentations focused, amongst other topics, on "TPS Real-time Dispatching and Train Dispatching" and on "TPS Workflow Management".
