NÖVOG launches mobility app from Hacon

Hanover, December 10, 2025. The Lower Austrian Transport Organization (NÖVOG) is launching its own passenger app for the first time, relying on Hacon's NextGen App Service. The Siemens Mobility subsidiary has developed the journey planner leopoldi.info, which enables passengers to quickly and easily find the best routes by bus, train, on-demand transport, bicycle, or on foot in Lower Austria and throughout the rest of Austria.

"A modern transportation offering must be easily accessible and quickly usable for passengers. The new leopoldi.info app helps our customers reach their destination quickly, comfortably, and safely at all times," stated NÖVOG Managing Directors Wolfgang Schroll and Michael Hasenöhrl.

NÖVOG is thus the first Austrian mobility company to bring Hacon's NextGen to the app stores. The user-friendly passenger app simplifies trip planning for passengers while giving operators full brand control through customizable branding.

The leopoldi.info platform is based on Austrian Transport Information (VAO) and provides real-time data, current traffic information, and stop monitors. The app is available both as native app for smartphones and tablets (iOS and Android) and as webapp online at https://routing.leopoldi.info.
