Hacon on Social Media

Privacy Policy for the use of our channels in social networks

The protection of your privacy when using our channels in social networks is particularly important to us, Hacon Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH (hereinafter "we" or "Hacon").

We use various social networks for our services (hereinafter "Fanpage/s"). All of the Fanpages we use enable and aim to create a business presence. In addition, photos and videos can be shared, created and edited. You can also get in touch with us by writing private messages or commenting on and responding to posts.

We would like to point out that you use the Fanpages and their functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (e.g. commenting, sharing, rating).

Against this background, we would like to explain to you how your personal data is processed by us, where our processing ends and - as far as we are able - how the processing is carried out by the operators of the Fanpages.

III. Processing of personal data by the social networks

Which data the respective network receives, how it is used and on which legal basis the processing is based is described by the social networks in their privacy policies (see below). Please note that we are not responsible for these types of data processing and also have no influence on the internal processes at the social networks mentioned. In this respect, the social networks alone are responsible under data protection law for the type, scope and duration of data collection.

The social networks mentioned collect - according to their own information - in particular information about the content provided and shared, networks and connections used, actions carried out by users and the end devices used (device attributes, device IDs, device signals, cookies, etc.).

The data is collected when the interactive functions (website and app) are called up and used, as well as at the end. The social networks use this information - according to their own information - for their own purposes, in particular for placing adverts, improving their own products and user tracking.

The data collected from users may be transferred by the social networks to countries outside the European Union. The social networks describe the scope of data processing in general terms in their privacy policies. There you will also find information about contact options and the settings options for adverts.

  • Public information that you provide, such as name, username, profile picture and biography.
  • Information that you voluntarily leave in comments, messages or other interactions on the Fanpage.
  • Information that we receive about your interactions on the Fanpage, e.g. likes, shares or mentions.
  • Statistical information that the operators may make available to us about the use of the Fanpage (so-called insights).

4.2 Purpose of data processing

We use the personal data collected to

  • Interact with you as a user of the respective Fanpage and respond to your comments, questions or enquiries.
  • Provide you with relevant content and information that may be of interest to you.
  • Carry out statistical evaluations in order to analyse user behaviour and improve our Fanpages.

4.3 Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data on the aforementioned Fanpages is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and, if consent has been given, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in building a fan community and interacting with users. The aforementioned Fanpages and the associated data processing also enable a direct and fast exchange.

We do not actively pass on your personal data to third parties without your express consent, unless this is required by law or necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations.

4.4 Duration of storage

We would like to point out that - with the exception of content/posts that can be deleted directly by us - we generally have no influence on the visibility of data on the Fanpages. The duration of the processing of personal data is determined solely by the social networks. You can therefore obtain information on the storage period and existing objection options directly from the social networks (see also Section III. of this Privacy Policy).

V. Rights of data subjects

You have the right to information about the personal data concerning you (Art. 15 GDPR), the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), the right to erasure of the stored data (Art. 17 GDPR) or to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR). Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data concerning you at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation within the framework of the requirements of Art. 21 GDPR (so-called right to object). You can revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time with effect for the future.

To assert the above rights, please use the contact information in Section II. of this Privacy Policy.

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes data protection regulations. The contact details of the supervisory authority responsible for us are

The State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony, Prinzenstr. 5, 30159 Hanover, Tel: +49 / 511 / 120-4500, e-mail: poststelle@lfd.niedersachsen.de

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures within the meaning of Art. 5 GDPR to protect your personal data from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. We use secure connections (HTTPS) for communication on the Fanpages. Only a limited group of people have access as administrators. The role concepts are based on the principle of data minimisation and integrity ("need-to-know" principle).
